Visit of UTAH State University

Representatives from UTAH State University led by Dr. Marilyn Hammond with Jeff Sheen and Sachin Pavithran visited the ICT Training Center of Nova Foundation for possibility of partnership in providing technical assistance and collaboration in forming a Skills and Behavioral Training Program for persons with disabilities with an emphasis on eventual job placement or livelihood programs for PWD graduates of this Program.

Experiences and points to ponder were discussed on the evolution of the Training Center over the years on how the Training Department staff was able to develop these innovations such as the digitalization of our modules for the Deaf trainees, PC Operations NCII curriculum implementation as mandated by TESDA, a Research and Development Unit to research new training methods for the training program being instituted such as the E-commerce module being used now by our current trainees.

   

Visit of ACER Philippines and the Rotary Club Manila

The Rotary Club Manila led by Ms. Connie Beltran and ACER Philippines’ representatives Misses Agnes Espino, Director for Sales & Marketing and Jennifer Teng, Finance and Admin. Director visited the ICT Training Center of Nova Foundation on March 30, 2010 .

The purpose of the visit is to explore the possibility of partnership in helping Nova Foundation enhance the Training Program of the Training Center in giving Skills and Behavioral Training to persons with disabilities.

The Programs and Services of Nova Foundation were presented to the guests who expressed positive response towards the Training Center’s Program and will to the possibility of assisting Nova Foundation in carrying-out these programs.
