NOVA-CBM Training Center

The training and human resource development program of The NOVA Foundation will soon be realized within the 4th quarter of this year 2005, with the establisment of a "Vocational - Technical Training Center for Persons with 'This' Ability" (The Center), in partnership with the CHRISTOFFEL BLINDENMISSION / CHRISTIAN BLIND MISSION EV (CBM), an international charitable service organization based in Germany, which specializes in the prevention of blindness, and the education and rehabilitation of disabled persons. As their involvement in the disabled sector now looks further into livelihood and job placement, it has committed funding for the training center leading toward the employability of its graduates.
The design of the center's curriculum is being formulated by Visions and Breakthroughs International, Inc. (VBI), which is expected to be completed within this 3rd quarter of 2005. The Center is expected to the graduate 200 persons with program is being instituted directed toward the employment of its graduates, as part of corporate social responsibility (CSR) of involved cooperating businesses.
The construction of the training facilities located at Unit 11, The Columbia Tower, Ortigas Avenue, commenced last August 20, and is being undertaken by DT Abliter Builders. The Center is expected to be completed by the last week of September 2005, with a soft opening scheduled for the 26th of September. The Center shall be fully operational by the 1st of October 2005.
