Alyansa ng may Kapansanang Pinoy (Akap-Pinoy)

The NOVA Foundation for Differently Abled Person Inc., Alyansa ng may Kapansanang Pinoy (Akap-Pinoy), the Business Processiong Association, Philippines (BPAP), OneMT E- Ventures, Inc. and TeleDevelopment, in conjunction with TESDA commission on Informaion and Communication Technology-National Computer Center (CICT-NCC) and the National Council for the Welfare of Disabled Person (NCWDP) ICT Sub-Committee is now accepting applicants for the Online Medical Transcription Training and Call Center Training Programs.

These programs are designed specifically for disabled person who are visually impaired (blind) and orthopedically impaired. The program is a pioneer in opening more avenues of employment opportunity especially for the visually impaired. Online Medical Transcription Training Programs is available nationwide while Call Center Training Program (center-based, classroom type instruction) is open to Metro Manila residents only.

The Business Processing Association, Philippines (BPA/P), the nationwide organization of call Center and Medical & Legal Transcription companies, has entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with The NOVA Foundation and Akap-Pinoy to hire and provide employment to disabled individuals who will complete the training and pass the BPAP member companies' qualification standards.

Otherwise, all regular applicants including those who do not qualify under the PGMA Training for Work Scholarship Coupon must directly contact either, NCWDP, The NOVA Foundation, Akap-Pinoy. Cost of each Training Program is at P5,000.00 payable upon enrollment.

For those who wish to avail of the program, the general requirements are as follows:

- At least High School graduate

- Conversant in oral and written English

- Must be computer literate

- with reasonble hearing skills

- Must secure Certificate of Disability from City/Municipality Social Welfare Development Office

- Filled-up application form. ( May be downloaded at www.novafoundation.ph )
